Welcome to SoGerman.

this is being produced by staff and students in the German Department of Southampton University, to introduce you to many of the things we find interesting about German and Austrian life and culture.

The site is for anybody who is interested in German and Austrian life and culture (in the widest sense of the term): current students, potential applicants, teachers, anyone. You can see on the toolbar the kind of thing we have come up with so far. Some ideas will be in English as we are pressing those who have not yet started German; others will be in German and some others still will be in both languages.We will gradually be filling up the categories and expanding further.
