Speaking

We do such a huge amount of oral work here in Southampton – students get a double ration compared to most places – and virtually everything is done in pairs, so I haven’t really got many extra ideas, but want to get this up online and will be adding to it later.

  1. If you have friends in German-speaking countries, Skype them regularly, or whenever you can.
  2. If you have other really keen people in your class, set aside a few times a week where you speak completely in German. You can even plan what you are going to talk about in advance so that you can do some reading and watching and develop the vocabulary and ideas that you going to need. But it doesn’t need to be about deep stuff…

There are various services available online, which I will need to familiarise myself before I say any more.
