Caspar David Friedrich


Caspar David Friedrich  was born in 1774 and died in 1840 in Dresden. He is one of the major artists of German romanticism and works are filled with symbols artwork., he is the best known for his mid-period allegorical landscapes, which depict his own melancholy moods, nationalistic feelings and pantheistic beliefs.
